Mirrors

How 'bout that Michael Steele? And how 'bout the pile-on led by Obamanauts in the media? They pile on Steele when he sticks his right foot in his mouth, but now that he said this. . .
Afghanistan is a war of Obama's choosing. This is not something that the United States actively prosecuted or wanted to engage in. We should have a background role in the country, sort of shaping the changes that were necessary in Afghanistan as opposed to directly engaging troops. If Obama's such a student of history, has he not understood that's the one thing you don't do is engage in a land war in Afghanistan. Because everyone who has tried over a thousand years of history has failed. And there are reasons for that. There are other ways to engage in Afghanistan without committing more troops. And the situation with General McChrystal was comical.
. . .they still pile on. Hmmmm. Wasn't Barack Obama's main appeal in '07 and (pre-nominee) '08 his anti-war pose? And now they lie. They lie that candidate Obama said he would expand the Afghan war; they lie that despite Obama's in-fact radical expansion of it, that we're merely looking at years 7 and 8 of what remains Bush's war:

For deceit, self-delusion and will-to-power mirror-gazing, Obamanauts are truly joined at the hip with neo-cons. (Actually, Obamanauts are worse, since neo-cons actually believe in things, however insane.)
